First Post, "Why Twilight Is Better Than Harry Potter" Response

        

           So about an hour ago I found an article on how the Twilight series is better than Harry Potter which you can find here

anyway, I decided to do a response because I disagree with some of the things that is stated in this article. Here we go.

1- the writing is better 

For you maybe, everyone has different taste. I have seen plenty of people who love Harry Potter and Twilight equally, so you're basically just telling them their thoughts and opinions don't matter.

2- the actors/actresses who film the movie are talented 

They might be talented in some categories, but the person who plays Edward play a character from Harry Potter, so thanks...

3- Bella is a role model (she teaches people to hold on to their friendships and stuff and keep their secrets) 

Have you even read Harry Potter?

4-it has a PLOT!! 

As I said, HAVE YOU EVEN READ HARRY POTTER?

5-the scenes in the movies are exciting 

So? I honestly prefer books more then the movies, AND HAVE YOU EVEN WATCHED HARRY POTTER?

6- the effects are amazing

7-a story about a vampire,werewolf, and mortal beats a swinging wand boy and his enemy the beast 

Ok that's nice, we got ware wolfs, mortal beasts, "swinging wand boys" and enemy beasts too

8- the actors and actresses are attached to their character and love them 

Have you even heard the story on how Evana got to play Luna? Also Robert doesn't even like Twilight, he said it himself.

9-the characters are not all good or all evil 

Draco, Peter, whoever Draco's mother was, Sirius, do you're research before you state you're opinions

10-the evil people are villains for a reason like the newborn army in eclipse who almost killed the whole city of seattle or the volturi (they are not evil evil they have some good in them) 

Uh the whole story is about a monster who kills everyone Harry loves...

11-the characters in twilight are nice and have a great personality and they are hot and cool too (they are lovable for that) 

Luna, Hermione, almost every Hufflepuff... and if you really liked Twilight you would've gave a valid reason instead of "they are hot"

12-the cover of the books are drawn beautifully 

Congratulations, you have a good artist. I'm so proud

13-the posters of the movie looks verrrry cool 

Sighs, you'll never get it won't you

14- creative and great ideas of the vampire form 

We have ware wolfs and animagus (animagi?)

15- you can make your own stories out of the chapters of twilight 
(you can make stories out of harry potter too but twilight turns out better than harry potter) 

Ok, I went on Archive Of Our Own, a very popular fan fiction website and got the three most popular stories from each fandom and added up their hits and kudos. Twilight had 18 kudos and 1,250 hits all together. Harry Potter had 395 kudos and 26,039 hits, that's 377 kudos and 24,789 hits more then Twilight

16- the phrase twi-hard is cool.

We got Potter Heads... You're basing the importance of the fandom based on what they call it's fans...

17-the mash up name renesmee is so creative 

It's a mash up name, just like saying some one's name is Mary and someone els's is Dave, Dary or Mave, it's pretty obvious

18- Meyer made the werewolves and vampire unite even though they are enemies to each other 

Cool, some death eaters got along with the other side too

19-the book is an international bestseller and an award winning book too (chosen by book critiques) 

The least selling Harry Potter book has more sells then the best selling Twilight book

20-there are lessons you can learn from twilight (the thing u can learn from harry potter is how to do a spell on your friend so he can help u) 

And friendship, embracing you're differences, loving someone for who they are, and that revenge is not always the answer

21-the emotions are deep in twilight and is a wide imaginative world (unlike wand boy) 

How are these emotions not deep? Harry almost killed someone because they killed one of the only father figures he has in his life, and just because a girl and boy are best friends doesn't mean they end up getting together in the end, is there not enough romance for you? Is there too much friendship, adventure and acceptance but not enough romance? News flash: not everyone wants to get married and have kids.

22- she replaces small simple words to long big words for people to be more educated not use simple words everyone can understand 

The Harry Potter books were originally targeted for mostly kids so they had to make it so they were able to understand

23-twilight has a theme of a mystical and imaginative world 

Harry Potter does too... It's not every day you see people flying on brooms and fighting dark lords

24- twilight is read by a massive audience 

Read number 19

25-the fight scenes are sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo amazing and you feel the fight by someway 

You know what? Go order Order Of The Phoenix. Right now. I'll wait. Got it? Good, go ahead and start on the chapter Behind The Veil, read the rest of the book.

26-the twilight quotes are really nice written and you feel the creativity in them 

"You can find light in the darkest of places if one remembers to turn on the light"
"If you want to know how a man's like, take a look on how he treats his inferiors, not his equals"
"We've all got both light and dark inside of us, what matters is the part we choose to act on. That's who we really are"

and that was just two characters

27-Meyer left clues for you to know the identity of each and every character 

If 8 books isn't enough to learn characters then I don't know what is
